Account Deletion Policy

At Balance, we believe you should have full control over your data. This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can delete your account and what happens to your information when you do.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Balance account at any time using one of the following methods:

Option 1: Delete Within the App

  1. Open the Balance app
  2. Go to Profile
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Review the information provided
  5. Confirm account deletion

Your deletion request will be processed immediately.

Option 2: Request Deletion by Email

If you are unable to access your account, you may request deletion by contacting us at support@balanceapp.in.

Please include:

  • Your registered email address
  • A request to delete your Balance account

We may request additional verification to confirm account ownership.

What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed:

  • Account profile information
  • Expense records
  • Income records
  • Account balances
  • Categories and settings
  • Attachments and receipts
  • Recurring bills
  • App preferences

You will no longer be able to access your account or recover deleted data.

Data Retention

Certain limited information may be retained for a short period for:

  • Security purposes
  • Fraud prevention
  • Legal compliance
  • Backup recovery processes

Such retained data is securely stored and automatically deleted when no longer required.

Processing Time

Most account deletion requests are processed immediately.

Backup systems may require up to 30 days to fully remove deleted information.

Third-Party Services

If you signed in using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, deleting your Balance account does not delete your Google or Apple account. You may manage those accounts directly through the respective providers.

Re-Registration

After deletion, you may create a new Balance account using the same email address. Previously deleted data cannot be restored.
