Balance is an expense tracker and money manager app for Android. It records what you spend, from scanned receipts, bank SMS alerts or quick manual entry, and shows you where your money goes, along with your accounts, bills, subscriptions and net worth.

This website belongs to "Balance - Expense Tracker" by Clarzen, package name com.balanceapp.app. Other apps named Balance are from different developers and aren't connected to us. The Google Play button on balanceapp.in always opens the right listing.

No. Balance works in any country, in 140+ currencies, and sets yours automatically from your phone's region. It's made in India, and automatic SMS capture currently understands Indian bank messages best. Other countries are being added.

Balance is available on Android today. An iOS version is coming soon. It's a mobile app rather than a web dashboard.

Not yet. iOS is coming soon. Balance apps on the App Store today are from other developers and won't work with your Balance account.

We only publish Balance through Google Play. APK files from other websites aren't from us, so please don't install them.

Yes. Photograph a paper receipt or pick a payment screenshot from your gallery. Balance reads the total, merchant and date and suggests a category. You check it and save.

Yes. Log salary and other income alongside expenses so your balances and monthly picture are complete.

Twelve core categories such as food, groceries, transport, shopping, bills and rent, and you can add your own.

Yes. Add a cash account and log cash expenses against it. Cash is the spending most apps miss, so it's worth a quick tap when you pay.

Balance is offline-first — you can capture expenses without a connection and they sync automatically once you're back online. It does use a free account so your data stays backed up and available across devices.

Yes. Balance has Android home-screen widgets so you can see your spending and add an expense without opening the app.

Only if you turn on automatic capture (Android). Balance then reads bank transaction alerts on your phone and ignores personal messages, OTPs and promotions. The full message text never leaves your device; only the amount, merchant, date and account are saved. You can turn it off anytime, and the app works fully without it.

Today it understands the alert formats of Indian banks best. Support for banks in other countries is being added. Wherever you live, you can scan or add expenses manually.

Yes, on Android, if you allow notification access. You choose which apps Balance listens to, and it only picks up payment alerts.

Balance turns bank alerts into transactions you can confirm, edit or ignore. Payments in a foreign currency are never saved automatically: Balance asks you for the amount in your home currency.

Yes. When you turn on SMS capture you can import recent past bank alerts to build your history from day one.

No. iOS doesn't allow apps to read SMS, so automatic capture is Android-only.

No. Balance never asks for a bank login or net-banking credentials, and it never links to your bank account. You add transactions by scanning a receipt or payment screenshot, entering them manually, or, on Android, letting Balance pick them up from bank SMS alerts if you turn that on.

Yes. Set a monthly budget and Balance tracks your spending against it on the dashboard.

Yes. Add rent, EMIs, recharges and subscriptions and Balance reminds you before they're due, at around 10am your local time.

Yes. Subscription radar spots recurring debits like streaming, music and cloud storage so you can see what you're paying for every month.

As many as you like: bank accounts, credit cards, wallets and cash. Balance shows each balance and your total net worth.

Yes. Create a goal, set a target and track your progress toward it.

Balance supports 140+ currencies. You pick one home currency for your account; payments in other currencies are recorded with their home-currency amount and the original amount in the note.

A witty AI one-liner when you overspend a category, pile up subscriptions or repeat a habit. Pick chill or savage, or turn it off in Settings.

Yes. The built-in assistant answers plain-English questions like "how much did I spend on food last month?" or "what are my biggest subscriptions?" You can type or talk to it.

No. Balance never has your bank login. The assistant only works with the transactions already in your Balance account.

Yes. Balance can't move money, never asks for bank or card passwords, shows no ads and doesn't sell data. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

No. Balance has no advertising SDKs and never sells your data.

In encrypted cloud storage tied to your account. Only you can open them.

Yes. You can export everything to CSV at any time, and you can delete your account and all backups from within the app.

In the app go to Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. Your transactions, receipts, profile and backups are erased. You can also request deletion at balanceapp.in/account-deletion.

Make sure SMS capture is on in Balance and SMS permission is allowed in your phone's app settings. Some phones also need battery optimisation turned off for Balance. If your bank still isn't recognised, email us a sample alert with personal details removed so we can look at adding it.
